Ah, fall – the time of year when the air turns crisp, leaves transform into a symphony of colors, and our knitting needles itch to create something warm and wonderful. As the days grow shorter and the nights cooler, it's the perfect opportunity to snuggle up with your yarn and explore the world of lesser-known knitting patterns that will have you sipping on your pumpkin spice latte in style. Grab your needles, choose your cozy spot, and let's dive into the world of autumn knits!

Autumn Doodle Cowl by Jamie Lomax

Wrap yourself in the coziness of the Autumn Doodle Cowl by Jamie Lomax. This is a Doodle Series Pattern, which means it includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. This design is filled pumpkins, fall leaves, and coffee, and also ghosts, spiders, and bats! Or you can substitute ANY other Doodle charts!

Fall Harvest Charm Set by Susan B. Anderson

Crisp chilly days, colorful leaves, hot apple cider and pumpkins! You can never have enough garland around the house, and I think these little charms fit the bill for cute decor that can well into the Thanksgiving season. The pattern includes four patterns for a pumpkin, acorn, pinecone and a leaf.

Classic Can Cozy by Knitty Natty

Even if you're like me and not a football fan, you have to admit that tailgating can be a blast! These cozies are perfect for tailgating, and they even make the perfect project to bring to the game. Kitty Natty even offers two other versions - one for a skinny can, and one for a classic bottle - maybe I should make a bunch of these to replace all those old cozies we have lying around the house!

Cozy Campfire Hat by Alice Dunn Smith

This is the perfect hat for fall festivals, hanging around with the campfire, and throwing on when you are running from your car into Target to grab that whipped cream you forgot to get for the pumpkin pie! This is a great pattern for beginner color work knitters!

Pumpkin Spice by Denton Foreman

Here is a great free pattern for those of you who need more fall decor! You can never have enough pumpkins (in my opinion), and even if you don't get on the pumpkin spice train every year,  you have to admit that this pumpkin is very cute! Plus they knit up super quick! My kids would love a few of these around the house!

This fall, venture beyond the familiar and discover the joy of knitting patterns from lesser-known designers. Let these unique designs bring warmth and creativity to your knitting corner. As you explore new techniques and styles, you'll not only create stunning pieces but also support emerging talents in the knitting community.
