Q: My head is ____ (big, small, etc.) How do I know what product will fit me best?
A: Excellent Question!
All the knit hats and headbands will fit an adult head between 20-23 inches in circumference, they are very stretchy and can accommodate different sizes. If your head is smaller than 20 inches, the beanie will still fit, but it'll be a slouchy fit.
Please contact me prior to ordering if you need a hat that is a different size, we can work something out.
Q: I wear my knit pom beanie all the time! How do I clean it?
A: Wool-based knitwear does not require washing due to anti-microbial components. If washing is needed, it is recommend that you spot clean the body of the knit hat with lukewarm water, or use a wool wash and cool water to handwash the beanie. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the beanie while it is wet. Lay the knit hat flat to dry and avoid stretching or wringing of knit beanie. Knitwear may pill as a natural result of friction. Carefully use a sharp scissors or a fabric shaver to remove any unwanted fuzz from the knit hat.
Q: What is the turnaround time?
A: All knit pom hats and headbands in the shop are ready to ship. Orders will be shipped within 72 hours after payment is received Monday-Friday. Other items are made to order and include an estimated timeline in the product listing.
- Uffda Knits by Ashleigh Wempe Designs is not responsible for any damage that occurs during shipping or in cases where USPS staff loses/misplaces your package.
- Expected delivery dates are just that- when the USPS system expects that your shipment will arrive. Once the item is shipped, we are unable to control or assist in the process of delivery. Any information that is on the USPS tracking website is what we are able to see with regards to the status
- For international customers, please be advised that Uffda Knits is not responsible for any potential customs fees.
Knit Hat and Headband Information
- Each pom is a handmade faux fur pom pom. The pom poms are fastened to the beanies using a button and a bow on the underside of the hat. This allows you to easily remove the pom (and reattach the pom using the included large eye tapestry needle).
- Do not leave a child unattended with this item as the button inside the beanie and the leather tag may pose as a choking hazard.
- Due to the handmade nature, this item is not always able to withstand curious baby and toddler hands. Uffda Knits is not responsible for any damage to the hat caused to this item due to a child.
Q: Where are all your products made?
A: All of Uffda Knits products are handcrafted by Ashleigh Wempe in her Minnesota home.
Returns & Exchanges
- You may return unworn, unaltered knitwear/crochet wear with original hang tags still attached from Uffda Knits for store credit within 14 days of receiving your item (based on the USPS tracking number). Please email hello@ashleighwempe.com and include the order number in your email.
- Buyer is responsible for shipping costs to Uffda Knits.
- Products must be received in original condition as sent out to receive an exchange.
- All items will be inspected before an exchange or store credit is issued.
- Please note, all custom and pre-orders are final. Returns are not accepted for these items.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes! We do! As you go through the checkout process you will be able to select your international shipping option! For international customers, please be advised that Uffda Knits is not responsible for any potential customs fees.
Q: How quickly can I get my Uffda Knits hat or headband into my hands?
A: We want nothing more than for you to get your new Uffda Knits hat or headband into your hands ASAP! Orders will be shipped within 72 hours after payment is received Monday-Friday. Shipping typically takes 5-7 business days.
Q: My order says delivered but I don't have the package. What do I do?
A: Unfortunately, once the item is shipped by Uffda Knits we are unable to control or assist in the process of delivery. If your order says delivered but you don't have your item...first, we suggest you contact your local post office to see if they have any insight. If that doesn't work, we find that submitting a lost package claim through the carrier's website. If you can't track down the package within 5 days, please contact us for the next steps!
