After three long years apart, my college roommates and I embarked on yet another Southwestern journey, this time to Taos, New Mexico. I created this shawl specifically with the bold artwork characteristic of the region in mind. This Faroese style shawl has a center panel down the back and slight shoulder shaping to help keep the shawl on your shoulders during cold autumn mornings.
Sizing and Dimensions One size: 74.5” (189 cm) wingspan and 24.5” (62.2 cm) depth, measured after a light blocking
Gauge 22 St / 32 Rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch using US5 (3.75 mm) needles Gauge taken after blocking. Exact gauge is not critical, but a significant difference will affect the size of the shawl and yarn requirements.
