SHALEA TAYSOM

Create Your Own Colorwork

Shalea Taysom is the creator of Idaho Stitched, a small business that sells her handknit items, knitting patterns, and fosters a community of fellow "mountain crafters." She is a self taught knitter, thanks to YouTube, and fell in love with colorwork designing. This started first with beanie designs, but now has carried over into colorwork sweater designs as well. Many of her patterns are unpublished, but she hopes to start releasing them in the near future.

Shalea is a mother of two toddler girls and resides in the rural mountains of Idaho. She can often be found mountain biking, wrangling cows on her horse, or camping with her husband and kids. Her latest business endeavor is opening a Yarn Yurt, where she teaches local workshops, sells yarn, and uses it as a creative space.

Salmon Beanie - Knitting Pattern by Idaho Stitched

Shalea Taysom

This simple, super bulky beanie is a great project for beginner and advanced knitters alike. It is a great template for adding colorwork to, seeing that it is knit with the stockinette stitch. Sizes newborn - adult are included in the pattern.
