In this presentation, I explain how to combine mosaic knitting with cables, which allows for the creation of truly interesting patterns and helps to overcome the excessive linearity of mosaic knitting through the diagonal lines characteristic of cables.
In the embedded videos, I demonstrate how cables distort the fabric to create patterns, and how to work those same cables without a cable needle using two different methods.

Hello, I'm Paola Albergamo a knitwear designer from Rome, Italy.
I love colourful and fun knitting patterns and my main field of interest are clever and creative ways to achieve colorwork, such as slipped stitches, mosaic, marlisle, “filigree” or short rows knitting.
Another area that I like to explore are unusual constructions and often I combine the two things together.
This makes my patterns sometimes quirky and/or complex, but never boring!
