Seams Like Fun!
I'm a designer and teacher based in Southern California. I love cables, and any kind of colorwork that's not stranded— double knitting, stripes, mosaic, intarsia. After teaching for many years at my LYS, I pivoted to designing. I love puzzling out a pattern, then writing clear instructions supplemented with YouTube videos demonstrating the techniques. My designs have appeared in Vogue Knitting and numerous yarn company collections.
Besides knitting my second love is travel, and in 2022 I combined them both in a cross-country road trip. (Check it out on Instagram!) Over 30 yarn stores along our route donated yarns to help me create a blanket to be gifted to a new resident of our country through the Welcome Blanket project. I also make a bicycle-themed project every year for the Chicago Theater Bike Ride Fund in memory of my sister.
